Southington, OH (August 26, 2026) – Two cars rolled over Tuesday morning, August 25, on U.S. Route 422 at State Route 305 in Southington Township. Dispatchers received a call about the accident shortly before 6:30 a.m.

Emergency units found one car resting on its roof and the rear of the second vehicle heavily damaged. All occupants had exited the vehicles before emergency units arrived, and one person was taken to a Warren hospital for treatment of what the State Patrol described as minor injuries.

The circumstances that led to the collision remain under review. The inquiry into what caused the wreck is continuing, with additional details expected as they become available.

We hope the injured person makes a full recovery.

What Happens After a Rollover Accident?

Rollover accidents can cause different types of vehicle damage and injuries depending on how many times a vehicle rolls, its speed, and whether occupants were properly restrained. Investigators may review vehicle positions, damage patterns, roadway conditions, and statements from people who witnessed the accident.

Seat belts can help keep occupants inside a vehicle during a rollover and reduce the risk of being thrown from the passenger compartment. Airbags may provide additional protection during certain types of crashes, although they are designed to work with seat belts rather than replace them.

Medical evaluations can also help document injuries after a rollover. Some injuries may not be immediately obvious, so a person involved in a serious rollover may require medical attention even when the initial symptoms appear limited.

1Seek treatment promptly after being injured in an accident. Your first priority should always be your health. Many providers offer treatment on a lien basis, meaning you can get the care you need now and pay later when your claim is resolved.
2Before speaking with an insurance company, make sure you have the facts. An official police report is the most reliable record of what happened and can help establish liability An experienced attorney can assist you in obtaining this report and using it to protect your interests.
3Consider having your case reviewed by a qualified attorney who can guide you through the next steps. They will safeguard your rights and pursue the compensation you deserve.

Focus on your recovery and
let trusted professionals handle the rest
