Joplin, MO (September 13, 2026) – A man pushing a shopping cart was hurt after a car struck him at the intersection of 4th and Schifferdecker Ave around 9:15 p.m. Friday, September 11.
The man was in the roadway when the vehicle hit him. He remained alert and able to speak following the collision and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Officials said the man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation as more information becomes available.
