Rockville, MD (August 18, 2026) – A mother died after she and her child were struck by a vehicle near Chapman Avenue and Twinbrook Parkway on Monday night, August 17, according to Montgomery County police. The crash happened around 8:25 p.m.
Both were taken to nearby hospitals, where the woman later died. The child remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
