Cleveland, OH (June 25, 2026) – Two people died, and two others were hurt on Tuesday afternoon, June 23, after a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 176 South near the Spring Road entrance ramp. Cleveland police said the accident involved a dump truck, a Jeep Patriot, and a Ford E-350.
The police said the dump truck was traveling south on Interstate 176 when it hit a Jeep Patriot that had slowed because of traffic. The force pushed the Jeep forward into the Ford. The Jeep then overturned and caught fire. Both people inside the Jeep were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ford also hit the median and overturned. A 70-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman inside the Ford were taken to a nearby hospital. Their medical status was not confirmed. The 35-year-old man driving the dump truck was not hurt. Investigators are still reviewing the facts surrounding the wreck.
