Gallia County, OH (August 24, 2026) – Two people died on Saturday afternoon, August 22, after a six-vehicle wreck on State Rte 850 near milepost 1.
At about 2:27 p.m., a northbound car collided with two southbound motorcycles. The car then spun and struck a third motorcycle.
Two additional motorcycles became involved as the wreck unfolded. One motorcycle left the right side of the road while its driver tried to avoid the vehicles and entered a ditch. Another was struck by debris.
Brandon C.L. Sias and Hunter R. Ferguson, who were riding the two motorcycles that initially struck the car, died at the site. The other motorists involved were hurt, with their injuries described as minor.
The investigation into what led to the multi-vehicle wreck remains underway.
