Topeka, KS (September 10, 2026) – Two Shawnee County sheriff’s deputies were injured on Wednesday, September 9, after an all-terrain vehicle entered a ravine near N.W. Water Works Drive and MacVicar Avenue in northwest Topeka.
The crash was reported around 11:10 a.m. near the intersection, just north of Interstate 70. Initial reports indicated the ATV entered a ravine in the area.
The deputies were using the ATV while searching for a wanted individual. Both deputies sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were receiving medical treatment. There was no immediate word on the extent of their injuries.
