Ellicott City, MD (July 28, 2026) – Two firefighters were injured while battling a two-alarm fire on Monday morning at a townhome complex on Legends Way in Ellicott City. The fire was reported in the 2600 block of the roadway.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy flames extending through the roof of two townhomes. The home’s roof, where the fire later started, collapsed, and a second alarm was called to bring additional assistance.
Two firefighters were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The fire was brought under control within about 30 minutes, and the cause and origin remain under investigation. We are thinking of the firefighters as they recover from their injuries.
