Morgantown, WV (September 8, 2026) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 near Elk Hills on Sunday evening, September 6. The crash was reported around 7:23 p.m.
EMS and Fire responded to the scene following reports of the collision. Two people were transported from the crash site for medical treatment. Only the center lanes of Interstate 79 remained open as crews worked at the scene. Traffic restrictions were reported in the area following the crash.
