What to Know About Rollover Crashes
Rollover crashes can happen when a vehicle loses stability and tips onto its side or roof. Factors can include sudden steering, uneven road surfaces, high speeds, or impacts with other vehicles.
Vehicles with a higher center of gravity may be at greater risk of rolling in certain crashes. Seat belts can help keep occupants inside the vehicle and reduce the risk of serious injury.
After a rollover crash, drivers and passengers should avoid moving unless there is an immediate danger. Emergency responders can assess injuries and help determine the safest way to leave the vehicle.
