Philadelphia, PA (June 19, 2026) – Three people were hospitalized early on Thursday following a two-vehicle collision on the 2300 block of W Allegheny Ave in North Philadelphia.
According to the Philadelphia police, the accident occurred shortly after 1 a.m. and involved a marked police cruiser and a white Toyota Prius. When emergency units arrived, they found the Prius overturned on its side in front of a gas station with significant damage.
Two police officers and the driver of the Toyota were hurt in the wreck. The driver of the Prius required assistance to be removed from the vehicle before being taken to a local hospital. Detectives said all three people are expected to recover.
No additional information about those involved was immediately released. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
