Chicago, IL (August 19, 2026) – Three people were injured after a 37-year-old woman driving north on State St reportedly disregarded a traffic signal and struck a police squad vehicle around 3:14 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, in the 11900 block of South State St.
Two police officers in the squad vehicle were taken to hospitals and were listed as doing well. The SUV driver also had minor injuries and was hospitalized.
The crash occurred in Chicago’s West Pullman neighborhood. Charges and citations remained pending following the collision, while the circumstances of the crash were still under review.
