Franklin Square, NY (June 23, 2026) – Five people were hurt after a collision at the intersection of Hempstead Trnpk and Herman Blvd caused a Nissan to strike a gas pump at an Exxon station early on Sunday morning.
According to police, the collision happened at approximately 3:42 a.m. A Nissan traveling west on Hempstead Trnpk struck a southbound green Hyundai on Herman Blvd before leaving the roadway and hitting the gas pump.
The five people involved were taken to hospitals for treatment and evaluation. Their identities and the extent of their injuries were not released. No arrests or charges were reported following the accident. The circumstances surrounding the wreck are still being reviewed.
