New York, NY (August 10, 2026) – A 66-year-old man was killed after being struck by a U.S. Postal Service truck in Hell’s Kitchen on Saturday, August 8.
The accident happened shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Ninth Ave between W 54th St and W 55th St. The man was crossing Ninth Ave mid-block when the truck struck him. The truck driver did not remain at the scene.
The man was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead; his identity has not been released, and no arrests have been made. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
