Perris, CA (August 17, 2026) – An 8-year-old girl lost her life after a two-car crash erupted into flames on Saturday evening near East Rider Street and Ramona Expressway in Perris. Four other people were hospitalized following the collision, which happened around 5:40 p.m. on August 15.
Deputies found both vehicles at the scene, with one vehicle on fire. Fire crews extinguished the flames shortly after arriving. Six occupants from the two vehicles were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Four were in critical condition, and two were listed as stable at the time. One of those transported later died from their injuries, and the victim was identified on Sunday as an 8-year-old.
The deadly crash remains under investigation, and no arrests have been reported. We are deeply saddened and extend our condolences to the family and friends.
