San Diego, CA (January 2, 2026) – A multi-vehicle collision near Campus Point Dr in the University City area left a woman in her sixties seriously injured on Monday evening. Emergency crews responded swiftly to the scene around 8:00 p.m.
According to dispatch audio, the woman was a passenger at the time of the crash and sustained a possible broken femur along with abrasions to her hand. Despite being in significant pain, she was conscious, alert, and had full recall of the incident. Emergency personnel administered pain medication at the scene before carefully transferring her to a gurney.
She was transported by Mercy Medic 32 to UCSD Medical Center for further treatment. Medical staff noted her vital signs were stable upon departure, and she remained communicative during transport.
At this time, the cause of the crash has not been confirmed. Authorities have not released details regarding the other vehicles involved or whether additional injuries occurred.
