Los Angeles, CA (January 2, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash in the Tujunga area left two people injured and one person trapped inside a vehicle on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The collision occurred at approximately 12:42 p.m. in the 6200 block of West Honolulu Ave near La Tuna Canyon Rd. Responding fire crews arrived to find two vehicles involved in the crash, with one individual unable to exit due to the extent of the damage.
Firefighters worked quickly to extricate the trapped occupant while paramedics provided immediate medical attention to both patients on scene. All involved individuals were later transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The specific conditions and identities of the patients have not yet been released.
Los Angeles Police Department officers assisted with traffic control and supported the ongoing investigation into what caused the collision. It remains unclear whether speed, road conditions, or other factors contributed to the crash.
