Bernalillo, NM (January 3, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched to a crash involving injuries early on Saturday morning on Interstate 25 northbound near Jefferson Street in Bernalillo County.
The collision occurred around 12:43 a.m., and crews from Engine 19 and Rescue 19 arrived to assist the injured at the scene. While the exact number of people involved has not been released, dispatch audio confirmed that the crash required medical attention and emergency response.
The crash happened on January 3 along a heavily traveled section of I-25, just outside the Jefferson St NE interchange, a busy connector near business parks and residential neighborhoods in northeast Albuquerque. Early morning incidents on this stretch are often influenced by reduced visibility and lane-change maneuvers as vehicles merge on or off the interstate.
