Hobe Sound, FL (January 4, 2026) – A tragic two-vehicle crash late on Friday night in Hobe Sound claimed the lives of two teenagers and left another seriously injured, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred near the intersection of Bridge Rd and Interstate 95 around 10 p.m.
Authorities confirmed that a 17-year-old boy from Martin County High School and a 16-year-old girl from Jupiter were both pronounced dead at the scene. A 13-year-old passenger was also in the vehicle and sustained serious injuries. They were transported by ground to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach for treatment.
The driver of the second vehicle involved reportedly suffered only minor injuries. Officials have not released details regarding which individual was driving the teens’ vehicle, and names are being withheld due to the ages of those involved.
