San Jose, CA (January 5, 2026) – A rollover crash on the southbound 280 Freeway near the Highway 85 interchange left one person hospitalized with major injuries Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around 11:31 a.m. on January 4. Responding officers located a Toyota Tacoma that had sustained significant rollover damage. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation, and it is not yet clear whether any other vehicles were involved.
Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported one individual to a local hospital with serious injuries. No further information has been released regarding the patient’s identity or current condition.
Traffic in the area was impacted while authorities worked to clear the wreckage and conduct an initial investigation.
