How School Bus Safety Is Evaluated After a Crash
After a school bus crash, several factors are often reviewed to determine how the incident occurred. These can include the condition of the roadway, visibility at the time, and whether the bus experienced any mechanical issues before the crash.
Passenger safety is also examined, especially how children were seated and whether safety measures were followed. Even in single-vehicle accidents, these details can help clarify how injuries happened.
Vehicle damage can provide additional insight, particularly when looking at how the bus impacted surrounding structures or barriers. Observations from the scene, including the position of the bus and skid marks, may help piece together the sequence of events.
