Catawba, SC (August 12, 2026) – A motorcyclist died after a motorcycle and pickup truck collided Monday afternoon on Hwy 21 near Hall Spencer Rd in the Catawba area of York County.
The deadly accident happened around 2 p.m. Monday, August 10. According to state troopers, the motorcyclist was traveling south on Hwy 21 when a northbound Ford Ranger attempted a U-turn to head south.
The motorcycle and pickup collided during the attempted turn. The motorcycle then left the right side of the highway.
The motorcyclist’s name and age had not been publicly released. Initial information did not indicate whether the Ford Ranger driver was hurt, and no potential charges had been announced.
