Richmond, VA (January 5, 2026) – A crash resulting in personal injuries occurred in the early morning hours at Southside Plaza, according to information released by the Richmond Police Department (RPD). Emergency units were dispatched around 1:55 a.m. to the scene, where at least one vehicle was involved in a collision requiring immediate medical response.
Paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to individuals suffering from various injuries. Those hurt were evaluated on-site, and although authorities have not specified the number or severity of injuries, it was confirmed that victims received prompt medical attention. Some may have been transported to local hospitals for further care.
The incident took place on January 5 and temporarily affected access around the Southside Plaza area while responders worked to assist the injured and manage the crash scene. The roadway has since been cleared, and normal traffic flow has resumed.
