Tucson, AZ (January 7, 2026) – A serious traffic collision left two individuals unconscious on Monday night at the intersection of East 22nd St and South Country Club Rd in Tucson, prompting a major response from local emergency crews.
The crash was reported at approximately 9:13 p.m. on January 5. According to dispatch audio, both individuals were found unresponsive in the middle of the intersection when first responders arrived. Their current conditions have not yet been released.
The Tucson Police and Fire coordinated efforts at the scene, establishing traffic control at nearby intersections, including 23rd and 24th Streets. Multiple units were deployed to manage road closures and assist with crowd control, as bystanders and witnesses gathered near the area. Reports also indicated a verbal dispute occurring among individuals nearby, though it is unclear whether it was related to the crash.
