Fredericksburg, VA (January 7, 2026) – A serious multi-vehicle accident occurred early Monday morning on Plank Rd eastbound in Fredericksburg, resulting in injuries to at least three adults and prompting an extended emergency response.
The crash was reported at approximately 2:10 a.m. on January 5 near the left turn lane to I-95, where three to four vehicles were involved in the collision. Emergency units from Stafford County and Fredericksburg Fire and EMS arrived quickly to the scene, where medics evaluated three adult patients for injuries.
Among those injured was an adult female traveling in a gray Honda minivan who reported striking her head during the impact and requested medical attention. At least two additional individuals were assessed by EMS personnel, with further medic units dispatched to provide support. Authorities shut down multiple lanes on Plank Rd to ensure the safety of responders and other motorists.
The road remained partially closed for a period of time while fire and rescue teams managed the aftermath and cleared the scene. No information has been released yet about the circumstances that led to the crash or whether any citations have been issued.
