Chesapeake, VA (January 7, 2026) – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a vehicle crash involving reported entrapment Monday afternoon at the intersection of Cedar Rd and Millville Rd in Chesapeake.
The incident took place at approximately 1:39 p.m. on January 6. Engine 28 and Medic 8 were dispatched to the scene, where initial reports indicated that at least one person might have been trapped inside a vehicle following the collision.
Upon arrival, fire and medical crews assessed the scene and worked to ensure all occupants were safely extricated. Later communications confirmed that one patient involved in the crash declined medical transport after being evaluated by medics.
The intersection experienced brief disruptions as responders managed the aftermath of the crash. Law enforcement also responded to assist with traffic control and coordinate the scene.
Authorities have not provided additional details regarding the cause of the crash or the number of vehicles involved. The incident remains under review.
