Boardman, OH (January 8, 2026) – A multi-vehicle collision involving six cars occurred on Wednesday evening on Route 224 near Pheasant Dr, resulting in at least one person being transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The crash was reported around 5:30 p.m. near the Golf Headquarters on Boardman-Canfield Rd. According to authorities at the scene, the incident began when one driver attempted to turn left onto Route 224 and allegedly ran a red light. During the turn, their vehicle was struck by oncoming traffic, setting off a chain reaction that involved four additional vehicles.
First responders from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Canfield Police Department arrived quickly to manage the scene and assist those involved. Paramedics treated multiple individuals, and one person was transported for further evaluation and care.
The intersection was temporarily closed as police investigated and crews worked to clear the wreckage. Officials have not released the identities of those involved, and the investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
