Agua Dulce, CA (January 9, 2026) – A deadly wrong-way collision Tuesday evening in Agua Dulce claimed the life of a Canyon Country man, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The fatal crash occurred around 6:20 p.m. on January 6 at the intersection of Sierra Hwy and Anthony Rd. Investigators from the California Highway Patrol determined that 54-year-old Everett Turner was driving a silver Acura in the wrong direction when he collided head-on with a black Toyota RAV4 traveling lawfully in the opposite lane.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found Turner with fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the location. The driver of the RAV4 sustained major injuries and was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for emergency care. The current condition of that individual has not been made public.
CHP officers from the Newhall-area division handled the response and are continuing to investigate the events that led to the crash. It remains unclear why Turner was traveling on the wrong side of the road at the time of the collision.
