Houston, TX (January 9, 2026) – Emergency crews were dispatched on Thursday evening following a major traffic incident on Cortlandt St in Houston’s Greater Heights neighborhood. The incident occurred around 7:34 p.m. and involved a vehicle reportedly running over a pedestrian’s foot.
According to dispatch audio from the scene, first responders were called after a pedestrian was struck near the roadway. Initial reports indicate that the driver of a vehicle may have run over the individual’s foot, leading to injuries that required medical attention. While the exact condition of the victim has not been confirmed, paramedics provided care at the scene, and the person was evaluated for further treatment.
Houston Fire Department units and local law enforcement arrived quickly to assist and secure the area.
