Carmel, IN (January 9, 2026) – Emergency crews responded on January 7 to a multi-vehicle collision with reported injuries at the intersection of Hazel Dell Pkwy and E 146th St in Carmel. The crash occurred in the afternoon and prompted a sizable emergency response.
Initial dispatches indicated that a second medic unit was sent to the scene due to concerns about multiple injuries. However, that additional unit was later canceled, suggesting that injuries, while confirmed, may have been less severe than first believed.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the total number of individuals involved or the extent of injuries. First responders remained at the location to assist the injured, evaluate conditions, and clear damaged vehicles from the roadway.
