Denver, CO (January 9, 2026) – A crash with injuries was reported on January 8 along the northbound lanes of I‑25 near the Mississippi Ave exit in Denver, leading to traffic delays and an emergency response from multiple fire units.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:54 a.m. and resulted in at least one person being transported to urgent care for treatment. Several fire engines responded to the scene and temporarily blocked the right lane to manage the situation and assist the injured.
Colorado State Patrol also responded to the crash, and efforts were underway shortly after to begin clearing the scene and restoring traffic flow. The total number of vehicles involved has not been confirmed, and officials have not released further details about the injured party’s condition.
An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
