Phoenix, AZ (January 9, 2026) – A person riding an e-bike was injured in a crash early on Friday morning near the intersection of 46th St and Thomas Rd, according to emergency dispatch information from Phoenix authorities.
The collision occurred around 7:23 a.m. as police units were already active in the area investigating an unrelated burglary case. While responding officers were on scene, reports came in of a traffic incident involving an e-bike and at least one other vehicle.
Paramedics arrived shortly after to treat the injured rider, whose condition has not been officially disclosed. The individual was evaluated on-site for a variety of injuries and may have been transported for further medical attention.
The relationship between the injured party and the nearby burglary investigation remains unclear, but authorities are continuing to look into both incidents. The roadway remained partially open while responders worked the scene and gathered further details.
