Bakersfield, CA (January 10, 2026) – Two separate traffic collisions involving injuries were reported in the Bakersfield area Friday afternoon, with emergency crews responding to both scenes.
The first crash occurred near Highway 119 and Sunridge, southwest of the city, where a T-bone collision involved at least one silver sedan. Specific details about the second vehicle or injuries sustained in that crash have not yet been released.
Shortly after, at approximately 3:57 p.m., another crash was reported at Arrow St and Gilmore Ave. This second incident involved a yellow truck and a blue Ford, prompting a full EMS and traffic unit response. According to dispatch reports, the collision caused injuries and led to a temporary closure of the roadway as responders worked to assist the injured and secure the area.
Fire and rescue personnel, including Squad 42 and Engine 66, were requested to support the scene at Arrow and Gilmore. Ambulance services were also directed to respond to provide immediate medical care.
At this time, the severity of injuries in either crash has not been confirmed, and authorities are investigating both incidents to determine causes and contributing factors.
