Portland, OR (January 10, 2026) – A man was injured in a two-vehicle crash late on January 9 along the eastbound lanes of I-84 near 47th Avenue, drawing a rapid emergency response from Portland fire and medical crews.
When Engine 28 and Medic 1352 arrived on scene around 9:34 p.m., they found the injured man limping and requesting medical attention. Paramedics quickly began treatment while other responders worked to evaluate the crash site and assess possible risks. Authorities have not yet released the man’s condition or confirmed whether additional individuals were involved.
The crash temporarily disrupted traffic in the eastbound lanes as crews worked to clear the scene and ensure safety for passing vehicles. The two vehicles remained in the roadway for a period, contributing to the congestion.
