Kansas City, MO (January 10, 2026) – A serious multi-vehicle crash with injuries was reported on January 8 along southbound I-35 between 87th St and 95th St in Kansas City. The incident occurred around 8:56 a.m. and drew a large emergency response from medical and fire personnel.
At least three vehicles were involved in the collision, and initial reports indicated that one individual was unresponsive when medics arrived. Several people were evaluated at the scene and transported to nearby hospitals, including St. Luke’s and the University of Kansas Hospital. The conditions of those injured have not yet been publicly disclosed.
The crash caused significant disruption to morning traffic as crews worked to assess the injured and clear the heavily damaged vehicles from the scene. Multiple lanes were temporarily closed while authorities conducted their investigation.
Officials are working to determine the exact cause of the collision and whether speed, road conditions, or other factors may have contributed.
