San Diego, CA (January 11, 2026) – A middle-aged man sustained injuries in a low-speed traffic accident on Friday afternoon near Zion Ave in the San Diego area. The incident occurred around 2:51 p.m. and involved a turning vehicle collision that led to emergency medical transport.
According to reports from La Jolla Medic One, the man was found sitting in his vehicle following the crash, which occurred at an estimated speed of five to ten miles per hour. Despite the relatively low impact, the patient reported head, neck, and back pain. Paramedics confirmed that there was no airbag deployment or vehicle intrusion, and the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He also appeared to experience some confusion or fogginess about the event.
Medical responders assessed the patient and transported him to Kaiser Zion Hospital for further evaluation. Vital signs remained stable throughout the transport, and the patient was alert with a Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score of 15.
