Novato, CA (January 11, 2026) – A motorist sustained injuries on Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash that caused one vehicle to overturn on Highway 101 in Marin County. The incident occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. on January 10 along the northbound lanes near Ignacio Blvd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
First responders, including CHP officers and emergency medical teams, arrived at the scene and provided care to one individual who reported minor head pain. The injured motorist was treated on-site; no other injuries were confirmed. One of the vehicles involved overturned, prompting a partial closure of the highway while crews worked to investigate and safely remove debris.
Authorities closed at least three lanes of northbound Hwy 101 during the response, leading to traffic delays in the area. By approximately 3:15 p.m., all lanes were fully reopened, and traffic resumed normal flow.
Officials have not yet determined what led to the crash, and the cause remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
