Round Lake, IL (January 11, 2026) – A serious two-vehicle crash with entrapment was reported Saturday in Round Lake. The incident occurred at the intersection of IL Route 120 and Wildspring Road, prompting a significant emergency response from the Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District.
According to initial reports, one individual sustained potentially serious injuries and required extrication from their vehicle. Fire and rescue personnel arrived on scene to stabilize the vehicles and free the trapped occupant, who was later transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
The extent of additional injuries, if any, has not yet been confirmed. IL-120 was temporarily impacted as emergency crews worked to secure the area and ensure safe passage for other drivers.
