Memphis, TN (January 11, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a car crash with reported injuries Saturday evening on the westbound side of Interstate 40 near North Watkins Street in Memphis. The collision was reported at approximately 7:43 p.m.

Units from Memphis Fire and EMS provided on-site medical care to at least one injured individual. The person was later transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The severity of the injuries and the total number of people involved have not been released at this time.

The crash led to traffic delays along I-40 W as responders worked to manage the scene and remove damaged vehicles. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by local authorities.
