Montgomery Co, MD (January 11, 2026) – A collision between a Ride On bus and a van in Montgomery County on Saturday afternoon resulted in seven individuals being transported to local hospitals, according to fire and rescue officials.
The crash occurred shortly after 12:00 p.m. near the intersection of Shady Grove Rd and Research Blvd. Emergency crews from Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service responded promptly to the scene, where a Ride On bus and an adult day care transport van had collided.
Officials confirmed that six adults from the van and the driver of the bus were taken to nearby hospitals for precautionary evaluation. Fortunately, no traumatic injuries were reported, and all transports were made out of an abundance of caution.
Authorities worked to manage traffic and assist those involved while the vehicles were cleared from the roadway. Investigators are reviewing the events that led to the crash and have not yet released further details.
