Greene Co, AL (January 12, 2026) – A tragic collision in Greene County on Friday evening claimed the lives of two individuals following a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 43 near Choctaw Rd, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. when 61-year-old Willie J. Smith of York collided with a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Kaydence R. Clark of Demopolis. Authorities reported that Smith was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, roughly four miles south of Eutaw.
Clark was transported to Whitfield Memorial Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
