Southlake, TX (January 12, 2026) – A pedestrian lost his life after being hit by a semi-truck while attempting to cross State Highway 114 in Southlake. The fatal incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes near the 1100 block of East SH-114.
According to Southlake Police, the man had been involved in a separate single-vehicle crash in the same area just moments before. After exiting his vehicle, he reportedly attempted to cross the highway on foot when he was struck by an oncoming semi-truck. First responders from Southlake Police and Fire arrived quickly but found the man had already succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi-truck remained on site and is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. No charges have been announced at this time, and authorities have yet to release the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.
