Southington, CT (April 23, 2026) – Two people were injured early Thursday after a camper fire spread to a nearby home on Heritage Dr in Southington.
Emergency units responded to the 27 block of Heritage Dr, where a camper fire had extended to the exterior of a two-story split-level house. All residents were able to get out safely, and crews also rescued a dog from the property.
Firefighters worked to bring the flames under control using multiple hose lines. Two ambulances were requested to evaluate and treat injured residents, though the extent of their injuries has not been confirmed.
The fire was eventually knocked down, and crews remained on scene to check for any remaining hot spots. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire, and more details will be released as soon as they become available. We are thinking of those injured as they receive medical care.
