Louisville, KY (August 16, 2026) – A fatal hit-and-run claimed the life of a woman early on Friday morning, August 14, on West Oak Street in Louisville. She was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene around 3:45 a.m. in the 1100 block.
The police said the woman was struck by an unknown vehicle that left the area in an unknown direction before officers arrived. First responders provided aid at the scene before EMS took her to UofL Hospital, where she later died.
