Clay, MO (January 13, 2026) – A multi-vehicle collision on Monday afternoon on the MO-152 ramp to northbound I-35 resulted in one woman sustaining injuries and led to significant disruption near a busy commuter corridor.
The crash happened around 4:40 p.m. and involved a Chrysler Town and Country minivan, a Lincoln MKC, and an Acura MDX—all traveling northbound. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident began when the Chrysler, driven by a 75-year-old Kansas City man, struck the rear of a Lincoln MKC, then continued forward and hit an Acura MDX before overturning.
A 74-year-old woman riding in the Chrysler suffered injuries and was transported by EMS to Liberty Hospital for treatment. All involved parties were reportedly wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Each vehicle sustained moderate to total damage and was towed from the scene by local companies, including GT Tow and Integrity Tow.
Cpl. B.R. Siercks of Troop A conducted the investigation, assisted by Cpl. B.N. Marquart and Liberty Police. Preliminary findings suggest that following distance and possible driver error may have contributed to the chain-reaction collision.
We send our best wishes to the injured woman and hope for a full recovery as authorities continue to review the incident.
