Montgomery Co, MD (January 13, 2026) – A 73-year-old woman was struck and killed in a tragic hit-and-run crash on Monday evening along Columbia Pike near Fairland Rd in Montgomery County. Authorities say the fatal incident occurred around 6:40 p.m.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, the woman was in the roadway when she was struck by at least two separate vehicles. The first is believed to be a maroon Toyota Tacoma, model year between 2016 and 2023. The second vehicle is described as an older-model orange Ford Crown Victoria. Shockingly, neither driver remained at the scene after the collision.
Emergency crews responded quickly, but the woman was pronounced dead on-site due to the severity of her injuries.
Investigators are actively searching for the two vehicles involved and are urging the public to come forward with any information that could help identify the drivers.
