Los Angeles County, CA (January 13, 2026) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck on January 12 at the intersection of Normandie Ave and Sepulveda Blvd in the West Carson area of Los Angeles County. The fatal crash occurred around 2:41 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency crews with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene following reports of a pedestrian down in the roadway. Officials said the victim was hit by a gray Ford F-150 under circumstances that remain under investigation. Despite efforts to assist, the pedestrian died from injuries sustained in the impact.
Law enforcement officers secured the scene and arranged for the truck involved to be towed as part of the ongoing investigation. The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities are continuing to review evidence and interview witnesses to determine the events that led to the tragic collision.
