Long Beach, CA (January 14, 2026) – A traffic collision near Cherry Avenue and East Poinsettia Street left one person injured and temporarily trapped inside a vehicle on Monday afternoon in Long Beach. The incident occurred around 1:27 p.m. and prompted a swift response from fire and rescue crews.
Units from Long Beach Fire and Rescue, including Engine 12 and Rescue 12, arrived at the scene to assist the trapped individual. Responders worked quickly to safely extricate the person from the vehicle. Once freed, the victim was assessed and treated for injuries by emergency medical personnel.
