Longview, WA (January 15, 2026) – A person using a wheelchair was injured Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle while crossing at the intersection of Washington Way and 18th Avenue in Longview.
The collision was reported shortly after 4:00 p.m. when emergency units arrived to find a single vehicle involved in a crash with a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Responders confirmed that the pedestrian was in a wheelchair at the time of the incident.
Medics provided immediate care on the scene before transporting the injured individual for further medical treatment. The extent of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.
Traffic was briefly disrupted in the area while crews assisted the victim and documented the scene for investigation. Officials have not released information about the driver or the circumstances that led to the crash.
