Chicago, IL (January 15, 2026) – A vehicle collision that left at least one person injured was reported late Wednesday morning in the South Side of Chicago. The crash took place at the intersection of 75th St and S Lafayette Ave in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, with emergency crews arriving shortly after 11:25 a.m.
Chicago Fire Department personnel, along with EMS, responded to assist those involved. One individual required medical attention and was evaluated at the scene, while arrangements were made for the removal of both vehicles, which had come to a stop in the middle of the intersection. Responders worked quickly to secure the area and coordinate with tow services due to the location of the crash.
Dispatch records indicated that both vehicles had Illinois plates, and emergency responders confirmed that no one was trapped inside at the time they arrived. EMS units, including Ambulance 29, were dispatched to aid the injured party.
