Louisville, KY (January 15, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash occurred on I-264 East near mile marker 15.9, close to the Bardstown Road area, on Wednesday, January 14, at approximately 8:31 PM. The crash involved two vehicles and resulted in the temporary closure of the two right lanes and the right shoulder as emergency crews responded to the scene.
MetroSafe confirmed that injuries were reported around 9:00 PM. The driver involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and was treated on-site before being transported to a local hospital for further care. Emergency personnel from Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) 5th Division and other responding units worked to secure the area and assist the injured.
The incident caused significant traffic delays, with drivers advised to avoid the area and take alternate routes. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, though road conditions or other factors have not yet been confirmed as contributing factors.
